Prior to TPL, Sulaiman served as the CEO Cyan Limited. Before Cyan, he has served PICIC DFI, PICIC Asset Management Company Ltd., Allied Bank (ABL) and ABL Asset Management Company Limited. He has had the privilege of establishing two leading AMCs of this country.
As a senior executive he has been working on strategy, organization, mergers and acquisitions. He is a proven business leader with a track record of delivering sustainable change and superior results in Pakistan. Sulaiman’s experience spans over 21 years in multiple areas of financial services including investments, operations, marketing, legal and corporate affairs.
He has been the youngest Chairman of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). He is the Founding member of the Presidential Initiative for Artificial Intelligence and Computing (PIAIC) and a Member of the Committee on Emerging Technologies of MOIT. He represents Sindh as an Independent Member on Private Power and Infrastructure Board (PPIB) and is also an Independent Director on Sind Energy Holding Company (Pvt.) Ltd. He is an Independent Director on the Board of BankIslami Pakistan Ltd. and also on the Board of Aga Khan Cultural Service – Pakistan.
He holds a master’s degree and is also a fellow member of The Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (FCIS). He is also a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).
Mr. Farrukh Amin, the visionary founder of Unity Foods Limited, currently serves at the board as Non- Executive Director. Mr. Abdul Majeed is a distinguished professional with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.
Com) degree from the University of Karachi and holds membership in the Institute
of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP). He achieved
outstanding success in the final examination of ICMAP in November 1994,
demonstrating his exemplary dedication to his field.
With a remarkable career spanning over 24 years, Mr. Majeed has excelled as an
entrepreneur, spearheading various ventures in the agri-business sector, which he
established and adeptly managed. His extensive expertise encompasses a wide
range of agri-business activities.
In addition to his academic and entrepreneurial achievements, Mr. Majeed further
solidified his credentials by completing a directors training program under the
auspices of ICMAP in April 2019, enhancing his leadership and governance skills.
Furthermore, Mr. Majeed's commitment to his industry is exemplified by his role as
an ex-treasurer of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan, where he contributed
to the advancement of the rice export sector in the country. His wealth of
knowledge and experience continues to be a valuable asset to our organization.
Mr. Amir Shehzad brings over 29 years of distinguished leadership experience to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Unity Foods. A results-driven leader with a proven ability to perform in complex and fast-evolving environments, his career has been shaped at the highest levels of Investment Banking and Capital Markets, where he has consistently delivered strategic and financial excellence.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Shehzad has held senior leadership positions at some of Pakistan’s most respected financial institutions, including National Bank of Pakistan, United Bank Limited, and Askari Bank Limited. In these roles, he played a central part in shaping enterprise-wide strategies, strengthening governance frameworks, and driving sustainable growth across diverse portfolios.
Academically, Mr. Shehzad combines global exposure with strong financial grounding. He is a graduate cum laude in Finance from Arizona State University and has completed the Executive Leadership Program at Cornell University, equipping him with both analytical depth and contemporary leadership perspective.
Since joining Unity Foods in 2018, Mr. Shehzad has been instrumental in formulating and steering the Company’s short- and long-term business and investment strategies, contributing meaningfully to its transformation and growth trajectory. He also plays a key role in managing high-level relationships with banks, institutional investors, and development finance institutions, including the Asian Development Bank, International Finance Corporation, and FMO: Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank.
Beyond Unity Foods, Mr. Shehzad serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Privatization Commission of Pakistan and The Org. Studio, reflecting his broader commitment to institutional development and governance excellence.

Ms. Lie is General Manager with Wilmar Trading Pte. Ltd. (a direct wholly owned subsidiary of Wilmar International Limited). She oversees commercial aspects of the lauric crushing business of the Group, including assets management, trading, logistic, and business development. She has extensive experience in lauric oil and meal supply chain management. She graduated from Polytechnic of University of North Sumatera Indonesia. She is also a Director of Wilmar Pakistan Holdings Pte. Ltd. (a shareholder of Unity Foods Limited and a direct wholly owned subsidiary of Wilmar International Limited).
A visionary leader with a proven track record in driving business excellence, Amir Altaf Qureshi has led some of the world’s most renowned organizations, including Exxon Chemicals, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Monsanto Agritech, IFFCO Oil, IFFCO Soya Crush, and Hilton Pharma. Holding key executive positions such as Managing Director, CEO, COO, and Director Business, he has played a pivotal role in shaping strategic growth, operational efficiency, and market expansion. His outstanding contributions earned him the prestigious global “Customer Challenge” award at Monsanto.
With deep expertise in P&L management, commodities trading, mergers & acquisitions, and supply chain transformation, Aamir has successfully executed high-impact initiatives across the Middle East and South East Asia. Aamir holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University, USA, and has refined his leadership expertise at WITS Business School (South Africa), IMD Lausanne (Switzerland), and Emory University (USA). Lt Gen (Retd) Omar Mahmood Hayat, serving as the Chairman of
Unity Foods, hails from one of Pakistan's most esteemed military
lineages. His illustrious career spans over four decades,
characterized by pivotal roles both within the military and as
Chairman on the Board of Directors of various companies within
the Wah Nobel Group, Pakistan Ordnance Factory, National
Disaster Management Authority, ERRA, and Pakistan
Humanitarian Forum.
A logistics expert by profession, Lt Gen Hayat possesses a
profound humanitarian ethos. His service record includes a
crucial role as Chief of Staff in the Special Support Group for
Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), where he adeptly managed
the welfare of nearly 4 million IDPs from Swat and South
Waziristan Agency.
During his tenure as the head of Pakistan's largest public sector
enterprise, Pakistan Ordnance Factories, Lt Gen Hayat achieved
remarkable milestones by substantially augmenting

a doubling of commercial sales and exports, highlighting his
exceptional acumen. Presently, he also assumes the role of
Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Pakistan Humanitarian
